In this position, you are required to perform a professional level of cooking, knife, and prep skills. This position both preps and works the station during service periods. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be a team player with professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of food preparation and a la carte cooking
  • Understanding of proper sanitation practices and policies
  • Demonstrates proper cooking techniques and execution
  • Ensure food is consistently made to standards set
  • Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinate the use of time, material, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
  • Help with snow removal as needed

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Should have a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Previous prep or line cook experience preferred of at least 1 year
  • Positive professional attitude
  • Team player/collaborator with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife-handling skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Possess a food handler’s card from an accredited course or be willing to obtain one
  • May be required to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays as dictated by the workload and staffing.
  • Able to stand, carry, bend, stretch, stoop, pull and push, and lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to follow standardized, written recipes and verbal instruction

About the Job

In this position, you will be an enthusiastic, beer and food knowing, customer service-oriented person in our Front of House team. A passion for craft beer and food, and providing a great time to folks visiting the brewery is a must. This is a non-exempt position. Wage Range – $12.14/Hour+Tips

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service while pouring our handcrafted pints, taking food orders, or providing support for other front of house positions
  • Educating patrons about Ska beer and the differences between styles as well as the history and culture around Ska and craft beer in general. Suggest food and beer pairings and be able to confidently discuss our beer and food menus
  • Consistent stocking of kegs, merchandise and packaged product
  • Maintaining comfort & cleanliness throughout the tasting room and restrooms
  • Daily heavy lifting of 50lbs+
  • Learn and operate POS System
  • Cash handling and credit card transactions
  • Giving Tours of the Brewery to our guests
  • Balancing of register and checkout at the end of the shift

Non-Routine Tasks

  • Assisting with clearing snow around HQ Grounds

West’s Easy Light Beer is a crisp, clean, easy-drinking light lager from Ska Brewing, created for beer drinkers who want an approachable, lower-alcohol option that fits everyday occasions. Based in Durango, Colorado, Ska Brewing has been brewing beer with character since 1995 and is known for its independent spirit, community-minded culture, and award-winning craft beers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow sales, distribution, visibility, and velocity for West’s Easy Light Beer throughout Utah.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Utah distributor partners, with frequent communication on sales priorities, sales reporting, inventory needs, new opportunities, promotions, and market execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, grocery, convenience, liquor, specialty beer retailers, and chain accounts.
  • Secure new placements for Easy Light in package, display, cold box, menu, and feature opportunities.
  • Work closely with distributor sales teams to set market goals, conduct ride-withs, review account priorities, and ensure consistent follow-through.
  • Execute brand-building activity including samplings, promotions, festivals, events, launches, and account activations.
  • Represent a consistent and compelling Easy Light brand message centered on approachability, refreshment, value, and everyday drinkability.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in key Utah markets, including Salt Lake City, Park City, Ogden, Provo and surrounding resort, outdoor, and tourism-driven communities.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, pricing, displays, tap handles, and retail execution.
  • Provide regular sales updates, market feedback, forecasts, account notes, and opportunity reporting to Ska leadership.
  • Assist with demand planning and forecasting for Easy Light, including seasonal volume changes and event-driven needs.
  • Maintain professional, positive working relationships with distributors, retailers, consumers, and internal team members.
  • Manage assigned budgets, travel expenses, inventory, point-of-sale materials, and promotional assets responsibly.
  • Remain knowledgeable about Easy Light and Ska Brewing products, company history, brand standards, and the competitive beer landscape.
  • Represent West’s Easy Light Beer and Ska Brewing Company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods, distributor, retail, hospitality, or field sales experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of beer sales, distributor networks, retail execution, and account management preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Utah beer market, including on-premise, off-premise, chain, tourism, and outdoor recreation-driven accounts, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and communicate effectively with distributors, buyers, retailers, bartenders, servers, and consumers.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, Excel, sales reporting tools, and basic business communication.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large territory with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, festivals, promotions, and peak seasonal periods as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move beer cases (twist, squat, carry), full kegs, displays, tents, coolers, signage, and event materials as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Utah.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Passion for beer, brand building, hospitality, outdoor culture, and the Ska Brewing way of doing things.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. Wage Range

Salary range of $55,000 – $65,000 plus commission-based opportunities.
