About the Job
In this position, you will have direct, hands-on responsibility for producing quality Ska Brewing beer in a safe manner.

Wage Range: $15.50-18.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of brewhouse operation and wort production including but not limited to
  • Milling, mashing, lautering, and wort boiling
  • Safe and efficient transfer of wort to fermentation vessels
  • Routine troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas
  • Monitor and record process times, temperatures, gravities and pH levels
  • Collection of sterile samples for lab analysis
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
  • Assist in inventory management
  • Assist in safety compliance and QA/QC
  • Follow all operational procedures set forth by Ska Brewing Company, its subsidiaries and anyone else we deem worthy and authoritative
  • Knowledgeable in safe brewing practices
  • Provide leadership to safety efforts within the brewery
  • Proper wear and usage of PPE
  • Partner with Cellar, Packaging and other departments to meet production goals
  • Ensures work area is clean and well organized following GMP and Housekeeping principles

Non-routine Tasks

Assist cellar in daily operations

Assist lab in daily operations

Assist Warehouse in daily operations

Helping with snow removal as needed

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience brewing on a commercial system (Experience or working knowledge of 25bbl or larger brewhouse is preferred)
  • Formal brewery training and/or certification with strong mechanical ability is required
  • Self-directed and work effectively independently
  • Organized, detail-oriented and attentive to quality and standards
  • Flexible, accommodating, confident, team-oriented and self-reliant
  • Must be able & willing to work morning, midday, overnight and/or weekend shifts
  • Must be able to endure long hours on feet
  • Must work well in wet conditions and hot or cold environments
  • Must work safely in a fast-paced industrial setting
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to maneuver in confined spaces
  • Able to lift 55 lbs. and move at least 165 lbs., and work in extreme hot and cold environments
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and task scheduling skills

In this position, you are required to perform a professional level of cooking, knife and prep skills. This position both preps and works the station during service periods. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be a team player with professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of food preparation and a la carte cooking
  • Understanding of proper sanitation practices and policies
  • Demonstrates proper cooking techniques and execution
  • Ensure food is consistently made to standards set
  • Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
  • Help with snow removal as needed

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Should have a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency
  • Previous prep or line cook experience preferred of at least 1 year
  • Positive professional attitude
  • Team player/collaborator with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Possess a food handler’s card from an accredited course or be willing to obtain one
  • May be required to work additional hours, nights, weekends and some holidays as dictated by the work load and staffing.
  • Able to stand, carry, bend, stretch, stoop, pull and push, and lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to follow standardized, written recipes and verbal instruction
  • Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized

About the Job

In this position, you will be responsible for the timely, safe and efficient delivery of all products from our portfolio to both on premise and off-premise accounts. You will be an expert on all of our products and uphold the level of customer service our distribution company requires. This is a non-exempt position.

Starting pay of $13 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver beer safely and accurately to numerous accounts using delivery trucks and hand trucks
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with our existing accounts
  • Communicate any out-of-stock issues to the sales department
  • Accurately build loads for delivery routes
  • Remove any left-over product and trash from delivery trucks at the end of the day
  • Report problems with beer or draft equipment to the Sales Manager or Director of Operations at Ska Brewing
  • Partner with the Maintenance Mafia to fix any issues with company’s vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicle
  • Assist the Warehouse Guru in keeping the Chilly warehouse clean and organized
  • Accurately adjust customer invoices when needed
  • Weekly/daily rotation of shelf/backroom stock in accounts
  • Assist with building displays and place point of sale items in accounts when needed
  • Remove and report any out of date product
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections prior to routes
  • Be a positive representative of the company at all times

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must be over 21 years of age and possess basic math skills
  • Knowledge of beer industry and draft systems desired
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and with minimal supervision
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 165 lbs., bending, pulling and pushing.
  • Able to twist, turn, crouch, and squat repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Excellent understanding and appreciation of customer service
  • Must communicate well, work well with others and have a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have great communication and organization skills

Wage Range- $65,000-85,000 dependent on qualifications and experience

In this job you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions, while ensuring company accounting procedures conform to accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions;
  • Measure financial and operating performance;
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results;
  • Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt payments;
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department;
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts;
  • Prepare financial analysis;
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements;
  • Manage company cash flow;
  • Develop and manage departmental goals and operating procedures;
  • Direct financial audits;
  • Manage compliance with federal and state alcohol control regulations;
  • Administer internal control systems;
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned due to business needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Five years operational accounting experience with at least 2 years accounting management
  • Knowledge of and experience with QuickBooks
  • High level of integrity and good business instincts
  • Professional written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Can analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
